News Trading

You are allowed to hold trades during news events. However, you are not allowed to open or close a trade 8 minutes before and 8 minutes after high-impact news events.

The trade(s) opened or closed within the restricted 8-minute window will be reviewed, and the profits will be deducted during payout. If the profits generated from news trades (excluding all day news trades) exceeds 25% of the trader's profit share, the payout will be rejected and your profit share forfeited. Repeat offences may also lead to the termination of your account.

This rule applies to all types of trades, including manual open or close, pending orders, stop loss, and take profit orders.

Note

USD high impact news restricts trading on all trading pairs
Non-USD high impact news only restricts trading for trading pairs linked to that specific currency
Non-USD high impact news restricts trading for both forex pairs and indices

Examples

CHF high impact news or speeches will only apply to CHF trading pairs. Non-CHF trading pairs can still be traded during this time.
EUR high impact news or speeches will only apply to EUR trading pairs. Non-EUR trading pairs can still be traded during this time.
USD high impact news or speeches will apply to all trading pairs. No trades should be executed as per the news rule restrictions for your account.
EUR high impact news also applies to GER30 / FRA40 / ITA40
GBP high impact news also applies to UK100

Speeches

During speeches, the same time restrictions apply as for high-impact news events, except that the restricted time window starts before the speech, and ends after the speech concludes.
i.e. you are not allowed to open or close a trade 8 minutes before the speech begins and 8 minutes after the speech ends.

Example

If you have high-impact/red folder news at 5pm UTC, trades cannot be opened or closed from 4:52pm to 5:08pm, including TP, SL in profit, or any limit orders, buy stop/sell stop, or manual open and close.

If you have a high-impact/red folder speech at 5pm UTC and ends at 5:30pm UTC, trades cannot be opened or closed from 4:52pm to 5:38pm, including TP, SL, or any limit orders, buy stop/sell stop, or manual open and close.
